Placements 2018/2019 

The following placements are planned to take place

Uganda: ‘GOAL’   (FUNDED by the Sue White Foundation) Implement a water scheme program and conduct research about Faecal Sludge Management. GOAL has been working on humanitarian programs in more than 50 countries in the developing world since 1977. The organisation works in several areas, from health improvement projects and education to immediate emergency responses. The project that SAFAD is carrying out with this NGO is the support of sustainable water and sanitation in Uganda. https://www.goalglobal.org/

Haiti: ‘Pure Water for the World (partially funded by the Strathspey Charitable Trust): Support water and sanitation programs at a city level. Pure Water for the World’s mission is to improve lives by empowering people with access to life’s most basic necessities…safe water and sanitation. https://purewaterfortheworld.org/about-pww/.

Mexico: ‘Caminos De Agua’ (partially funded by the Souter Charitable Trust) Develop and implement a new technology to remove chemical pollutants from domestic water. Caminos de Agua promotes healthier more prosperous lives through practical sustainable solutions along the pathways water travels through our lives and the planet https://caminosdeagua.org/

Honduras: ‘Pure Water for the World’ (Seeking funding): Study the impact of different water and sanitation projects.
